Save Money With ACP - Empire Access

Internet access is nearly a necessity in our day and age, but many people and families are not in a position where they can easily afford it. Thankfully, this is where the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) can come into play. This article will act as a quick rundown of what the ACP is and what it can offer to those in need.

The ACP is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program. The program is intended to assist households that are unable to afford internet service by providing funding to assist them. In addition to internet service, the ACP can also help those households pay for a laptop or tablet.

What determines eligibility for the ACP? There are a few criteria. One is if the household in question is 200% below the Poverty Line. Another is if anyone in the household receives any government benefits. Once you’re approved for the ACP, you are eligible for up to $30 off of your monthly internet bill, as well as a 1 time discount off a laptop or tablet. In addition, if the plan is low enough, it is possible to have the internet bill paid for entirely by the ACP.
